Twinpa aka Ralf Hornik discovered Goa Trance in 1998 and was absolutely impressed by this variant, complex and powerful sound. He started collecting Goa music which was changing its style on a yearly basis. Later, Goa Trance became widely known as Psy-Trance and the original sound began to slide into obscurity. Compositions tended to grow more and more generic, lots of new labels spread out but Twinpa decided to remain faithful to the roots and create his own DJ sets using the well-known old analogue sound and variation.
In 2008 he spotted new labels like Cronomi Records, Underground Alien Factory, and Suntrip Records that released the same sound of the old Goa Trance promptly named Oldschool Goa Trance and Newschool Goa Trance. This resulted in his active role in creating and playing sets with that sound under the name of “Goa Radio (Germany)”. Until now he specialized in playing sets that featured both Oldschool and Newschool Goa Trance, while his sound choice is always considered as massive, trippy and dark. In 2012, when his twins were born, he started using his new alias, Twinpa.
Today beside being a DJ he acts as producer for several radio shows for example In Trance We Trust on Dice Radio or Goadoses on Digitally Imported.
